The challenge

What wasn't working on its own

Dabur is a global group with real brand equity, but its European marketplace presence had grown without it. Fake and duplicate listings, off-brand content and trademark infringement meant shoppers were finding something that was not the brand. There was no European selling infrastructure to fix it with, and cleaning up a marketplace presence requires being the seller.

The solution

What changed with O1

  • Operator One became Merchant of Record, the legal seller across Europe, carrying the entity, the VAT position and the compliance for every market.
  • The catalogue was cleaned up first: fake and duplicate listings removed and brand-standard content restored, before any growth work began.
  • The operation was then built out market by market, to eight countries across Amazon, Bol.com, Kaufland, Shop Apotheke and Cdiscount.
  • Content is localised per market rather than one export listing repeated everywhere.
  • The return rate across the European operation sits under 2%, which is what a clean catalogue looks like.
  • Dabur keeps ownership of its inventory and sets its own pricing strategy throughout.

The result

8 countries

across five marketplace platforms

Dabur runs one official European presence across eight countries and five marketplace platforms, with a return rate under 2%.

What this means if you're a Wellness brand

If your brand is being sold in Europe by people you did not authorise, on listings you did not write, the cleanup only sticks once someone with legal standing is the seller. Book a call to see what reclaiming your European presence would take.
