bol offers three ways to fulfil an order: Logistiek via bol (LVB), where bol stores, ships and handles returns for EUR 3.05 to EUR 7.33 per ordered item in regular sizes plus storage; shipping it yourself (zelf verzenden); and Verzenden via bol, bol's label service for Netherlands-based sellers at EUR 4.18 to EUR 5.56 per domestic parcel. LVB wins for small, fast-moving items; own fulfilment wins for bulky goods, slow movers and stock shared with other channels.
Key takeaways
- On bol, LVB fees for regular sizes run from EUR 3.05 (3XS) to EUR 7.33 (L) per ordered item, excluding VAT and commission.
- LVB storage on bol costs EUR 0.14 to EUR 0.95 per item per month for 3XS to L, plus 40% in November and December and, since 1 January 2026, plus 100% on stock older than 180 days.
- bol's bulky LVB track charges EUR 9.10 (XL), EUR 10.80 (XXL), EUR 27.63 (3XL one-person) and EUR 64.49 (3XL two-person) per ordered item.
- bol admits sellers to LVB when they sell at least 1,500 items a year, and LVB items over 30 kg or with a 170 to 175 cm long side cannot ship to Belgian customers.
- Verzenden via bol is open only to sellers established in the Netherlands, at EUR 5.56 down to EUR 4.18 per domestic parcel across 7 volume tiers.
- bol's quality score runs from 0 to 100 over 22 weeks; sellers must stay at 65 or above, and a fifth strike closes the shop temporarily.
What Logistiek via bol is and who can use it
Logistiek via bol is bol's fulfilment service for the Netherlands and Belgium: the seller sends stock to a bol fulfilment centre, and bol stores it, delivers each order, handles returns and answers delivery questions. bol admits a seller to LVB, including the bulky XL+ track, when it sells at least 1,500 items per year. Each LVB seller also gets a stock ceiling (voorraadplafond), which bol fixes on the first working day of each month and sizes to leave room for about 28 days of sales.
LVB stock serves bol orders only. bol's LVB user terms (version 27, 24 September 2026) define LVB articles as stock destined for customers who buy on bol, and bol itself points sellers that want to serve several channels from one warehouse to a third-party logistics provider.
LVB also has a VAT consequence. bol's VAT page for LVB states that every LVB seller needs its own Dutch VAT number, wherever it is established, because the stock sits in the Netherlands, and that moving stock into bol's warehouse from another EU country is an intra-Community stock transfer to report in both countries.
LVB fees in 2026 by size class
bol charges one LVB fee per ordered item, set by the size class of the packaged product, plus monthly storage per item. According to bol's LVB conditions and tariffs page, the fee covers pick and pack, shipping, customer service and returns, and excludes VAT, commission and product surcharges.
| Size class | bol warehouse | Max weight | Max package (cm) | Fee per ordered item | Storage per item per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3XS | Waalwijk | 1 kg | 23.5 x 16.5 x 3 | EUR 3.05 | EUR 0.14 |
| XXS | Waalwijk | 2 kg | 37.5 x 26 x 3 | EUR 3.60 | EUR 0.15 |
| XS | Waalwijk | 5 kg | 37.5 x 26 x 5 | EUR 5.05 | EUR 0.24 |
| S | Waalwijk | 5 kg | 45 x 30 x 8 | EUR 6.03 | EUR 0.48 |
| M | Waalwijk | 8 kg | 55 x 35 x 20 | EUR 6.20 | EUR 0.63 |
| L | Waalwijk | 15 kg | 72 x 50 x 41, max 70 litres | EUR 7.33 | EUR 0.95 |
| XL | Nieuwegein | 30 kg | 100 x 70 x 55, max 385 litres | EUR 9.10 | EUR 2.54 |
| XXL | Nieuwegein | 31.5 kg | 175 x 78 x 58, max 791.7 litres | EUR 10.80 | EUR 2.94 |
| 3XL one-person | Oosterhout | under 31.5 kg | long side 240, under 300 litres | EUR 27.63 | EUR 4.36 |
| 3XL two-person | Oosterhout | under 63 kg (150 kg white goods) | long side 400, under 3,000 litres | EUR 64.49 | EUR 4.36 |

bol runs a cheaper LVB track for items selling below EUR 16: 3XS costs EUR 2.85, S EUR 5.28 and L EUR 6.58 per ordered item. When a customer buys two or more of your LVB items in one order, bol charges the shipping part of the fee only once for sizes 3XS to L (for size S, EUR 3.80 of the EUR 6.03). For Belgian customers, bol always ships and bills 3XS and XXS items as XS (EUR 5.05 on the regular track), because they cannot travel to Belgium as letterbox parcels.
LVB storage, peak and aged-stock surcharges
bol counts LVB stock daily and bills storage per item per month, sellable or not, with three surcharges on top:
- Peak: bol adds 40% to storage for sizes 3XS to 3XL in November and December. A bol stock-ceiling help page also lists October as a peak month.
- Aged stock: since 1 January 2026, bol charges 100% extra per month on stock held longer than 180 days, except in six fashion and accessory categories such as watches, bags and clothing.
- Special category: bol charges EUR 0.40 per item per handling for dangerous goods, fragile items, products with a best-before date and those six categories.
Pulling stock out of LVB costs EUR 0.45 per item excluding VAT, for return or destruction, plus shipping: on bol's rate card a parcel of up to 5 kg to a Dutch address costs EUR 4.90 and a single pallet EUR 43.20, against EUR 49.60 per pallet to Belgium. bol delivers within 10 working days to an EU address. Products with a best-before date need at least 100 days of shelf life left, or bol destroys them unless the seller has asked for them back.
How to get stock into LVB
bol can refuse, return or correct at the seller's cost any shipment that breaks its logistical delivery conditions, in force since 1 September 2025. The process:
- Get admitted to LVB. Apply in the bol seller account; XL, XXL and 3XL items need extra rights and a separate stock ceiling.
- Convert offers to LVB. Select the articles under Mijn artikelen and convert them to Logistiek via bol with the bulk action.
- Enter packaging dimensions. The package's weight and dimensions decide the size class and warehouse; on bol, an XL+ item without dimensions goes to a regular centre first and is moved later.
- Pre-notify the shipment. bol requires every shipment to be pre-notified at least two working days before the delivery day, within the stock ceiling, with barcodes and quantities matching the goods exactly.
- Pack to bol's inbound rules. Shipments arrive on EPAL pallets (80 x 120 cm) no higher than 180 cm including the pallet, at most 680 kg single-product or 1,000 kg mixed, unless the shipment is fewer than 10 loose parcels of up to 15 kg each.
- Deliver on the booked date with a professional carrier. On bol, goods must already have EU customs status, sea containers cannot be delivered directly, and bol books stock in within 72 hours on working days.
Returns, lost stock and customer service under LVB
With LVB, bol handles customer returns under its own policy, including the 30-day return period, and inspects each return within 2 working days. bol says it can put up to 70% of returns back into stock; unsellable items go back to the seller once they reach 15 units or once one has been in the warehouse for 3 months.
Under annex 1 of bol's LVB terms, an item missing from stock for at least 30 consecutive days is reimbursed at 75% of the seller's last selling price excluding VAT, and bol may pay the same 75% as a goodwill payment for items lost in shipping or returns. bol's customer service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and replies within 24 hours; questions on product use, warranty and repair still go to the seller.
XL, XXL and 3XL: LVB for bulky goods
bol stores XL+ items in Nieuwegein (XL and XXL) and Oosterhout (3XL). For XL and XXL, bol promises next-day delivery for orders placed before 23:00 in the Netherlands and before 23:59 in Belgium; 3XL customers book an appointment and the item is carried inside. XL+ items cannot be offered with free Select delivery options, and sellers of large household appliances and certain TVs must take the old appliance back.
Shipping it yourself on bol
With own fulfilment, the seller stores, packs and ships with its own carrier, then confirms each order in the bol seller account with a track-and-trace number. bol's Mijn Leverbelofte tool lets the seller set up to 10 delivery-promise profiles, each with its own daily cut-off time, such as 17:00 or 22:00. On bol the selling price always includes shipping, and returns are free for the customer, including a free collection for large items that cannot travel as parcels.
Verzenden via bol: bol's shipping labels at volume rates
Verzenden via bol is still offered in October 2026, but only to sellers established in the Netherlands, for orders to Dutch and Belgian customers. The seller stores and packs; bol supplies DHL or Ampère-PostNL labels at its volume rates and answers delivery questions.
bol's Verzenden via bol rate card (published August 2026, excluding VAT) has 7 tiers by parcels per year: a domestic parcel costs EUR 5.56 below 5,000 parcels and EUR 4.18 from 75,000, while a parcel to Belgium costs EUR 6.33 to EUR 5.04. Drop-off adds EUR 0.34 per parcel, and a scheduled pickup costs EUR 13.50 to EUR 24.00, or EUR 40 below 11 parcels. With Verzenden via bol the seller is measured on handing parcels to the carrier on time (target 95%) rather than on final delivery, and lost parcels are reimbursed at 50% of the selling value excluding VAT plus shipping. bol says its Compleet variant (two pickups a day, next day for orders before 23:59) usually suits 50 or more parcels a day.
bol performance norms and what happens when you miss them
bol rates every seller with a quality score from 0 to 100, a weighted average of 5 service norms over the last 22 weeks: items on time, cancellations, track and trace, returns and customer questions, the last two with targets set per product group. Sellers must score at least 65, and benefits such as always-on Select deals start at 70.
| Service norm on bol | Minimum | Target or strike threshold |
|---|---|---|
| Items on time, own delivery | 90% | 93% delivered on time; strike needs 3 or more late shipments |
| Items on time, Verzenden via bol | 90% | 95% handed to the carrier on time |
| Cancellations | No more than 5% | No more than 2% of items, from 3 cancelled items per week |
| Track and trace | 90% | 98% |
| Returns and customer questions | Set per product group | Set per product group |
| Response time | n/a | 90% of customer questions within 24 hours |

Missing a norm on bol earns a strike, valid for 22 weeks; strikes are based on items on time, cancellations and response time. One to four strikes bring an email; at 5 strikes bol closes the shop temporarily and asks for an improvement plan within 3 weeks; at 7 the account closes for at least a year. A quality score of 64 or lower separately gives the seller 4 months to improve before bol can end the account. bol excludes LVB orders from strikes on on-time delivery and cancellations, but they still count towards the quality score.

When LVB wins and when own fulfilment wins
LVB wins on bol when the product is small, sells quickly and competes on delivery speed:
- Small fast movers. bol customers can often order LVB items until 23:59 for next-day delivery, and bol's Select deals require delivery within 2 working days.
- 3XL white goods. For EUR 64.49 per ordered item, bol delivers items up to 150 kg by appointment with two people and carries them inside.
Own fulfilment wins on bol when storage, size or channel mix works against LVB:
- Bulky items. XL storage costs EUR 2.54 per item per month against EUR 0.48 for size S, and inbound must be palletised to bol's limits.
- Slow movers. Stock older than 180 days pays double storage, and bol may return it.
- Multichannel stock pools. LVB stock serves bol orders only, so a range also sold on Amazon, Kaufland or a webshop needs a second stock pool.
- Belgium-heavy sales of large items. LVB cannot ship items over 30 kg or with a 170 to 175 cm long side to Belgium, and since 9 December 2025 products under Belgian excise law cannot be sold to Belgium through LVB.
The choice is not permanent: bol lets a seller run LVB for part of a range and own fulfilment for the rest, and to ship LVB items from its own stock when bol lengthens the LVB delivery promise during peaks.
Commission comes on top of every option
bol charges commission on top of every fulfilment fee. Its commission table, updated in October 2026, covers 36 categories with a variable rate of 2.1% to 20.7% and a fixed amount of EUR 0.05 to EUR 3.09 per item, both excluding VAT and calculated on the selling price including VAT. Onboarding and compliance are covered in the full guide to selling on bol, Sponsored Products in the bol advertising guide.
Frequently asked questions
What does Logistiek via bol cost in 2026?
On bol, LVB costs EUR 3.05 to EUR 7.33 per ordered item for regular sizes 3XS to L and EUR 9.10 to EUR 64.49 for XL to 3XL, excluding VAT and commission. Storage adds EUR 0.14 to EUR 4.36 per item per month, plus 40% in November and December and 100% on stock older than 180 days.
Can I use my LVB stock for my own webshop or other marketplaces?
No. bol's LVB terms define LVB stock as articles destined for customers who buy on bol, and bol points sellers that want to serve several channels from one warehouse to a third-party logistics provider.
Can LVB ship large items to Belgium?
Only up to a limit. On bol, LVB items heavier than 30 kg or with a long side of 170 to 175 cm cannot currently be shipped to Belgian customers, only to Dutch ones.
Who can use Verzenden via bol?
Verzenden via bol is available only to bol sellers established in the Netherlands, who can use it to ship to customers in the Netherlands and Belgium. Sellers established in Belgium cannot use it yet.
What happens if I miss bol's performance norms?
Missing one of bol's strike norms (items on time, the 2% cancellation ceiling or response time) earns a strike that stays valid for 22 weeks. At 5 strikes bol closes the shop temporarily until an improvement plan is accepted, and at 7 strikes the account closes for at least a year.
How Operator One handles bol fulfilment for brands
Operator One sells on bol as the legal seller for brands, the Merchant of Record, and runs both fulfilment models. Ranges that fit bol's regular sizes and turn quickly go into LVB; bulky, slow-moving or multichannel ranges ship as own-fulfilled bol orders from Operator One's two fulfilment centres in the Netherlands and Germany. Brands consign the stock, and Operator One holds the bol account, carries the service norms and moves offers between LVB and own delivery as fees, sell-through and the delivery promise change.
