Operator's guide

Selling on Allegro Poland: the operator's view

Facts sourced from the marketplace's own documentation and from regulators, written in our voice — no marketing fluff.

What it is

Allegro is the dominant generalist marketplace in Poland (>20M active users), the 5th-largest e-commerce platform in Europe by GMV, and the fastest non-Amazon route to scale in CEE. Also operates in CZ, SK and HU under the same seller account.

Who sells well here

Almost every consumer category — Allegro is genuinely generalist. Home, fashion, beauty, baby, sports nutrition, supplements, electronics, pet all see meaningful volume. Polish-language listings outperform English-only by an order of magnitude.

How selling works

Pure 3P. No subscription, no listing fee — only category-based commission (~2–17%, with electronics ~5% and fashion ~12.5%). Allegro Smart is the consumer-side membership (free delivery on orders >50 PLN), and Allegro One Box is the InPost-integrated fulfilment. New sellers get 100% commission discount on non-promoted offers for the first 90 days.

Compliance & fiscal picture

Polish VAT (or OSS for cross-border B2C). BDO register for EEE and batteries (mandatory before listing). Packaging EPR via an authorised Polish PRO. GPSR Responsible Person applies; Polish UOKiK actively monitors product safety and price-claim accuracy.

What O1 actually does here

O1 sells on Allegro from our Polish-registered account with PL VAT, BDO and PRO contract in place. Polish-language listings are generated from your master catalogue with native localisation in the O1 Suite. Fulfilment is from our EU 3PL via Allegro One Box where available; oversize from our DE 3PL cross-border.

Common gotchas

  • BDO mandatory for EEE / batteries — Allegro blocks listings without it.
  • Polish-language content quality is competitive lever #1 on Allegro — machine translation flatlines visibility.
  • Allegro Smart eligibility is critical for buy-box parity — non-Smart offers drop down the page.
  • CZ / SK / HU cross-border activation requires per-country EPR review.
  • Allegro Pay is the buyer-side BNPL — your reconciliation flow must accept it as a settlement type.

Why brands work with O1 on this channel

Poland is the largest CEE consumer market and Allegro is the gate. As Merchant of Record we operate the Polish-registered seller account, the Polish-language listings and the BDO + EPR stack on one contract. See how we work.

How we list your brand on Allegro Poland

The same three-step path we run for every brand: same contract, same ~30-day timeline, no surprises.

  1. Step 01
Catalogue handover into the O1 Suite

You ship product data, EAN/GTIN, images and stock; we map it to the marketplace's listing schema inside the Suite.

  2. Step 02
We open and operate the seller account

We register VAT, EPR and GPSR as the legal seller on Allegro Poland; you don't sign anything in-country.

  3. Step 03
Live orders → one monthly settlement

Your listings go live, orders flow into the O1 Suite, returns and customer support sit with us. You receive one consolidated monthly settlement.

Allegro Poland: Common questions

Can Operator One list my brand on Allegro Poland?

If we operate a live seller account on Allegro Poland (look for the 'Live' status pill on this page), yes. We onboard your catalogue under our Merchant of Record entity and you go live on the standard ~30-day onboarding timeline. Where the status is 'On request', we confirm fit and timeline on a discovery call first.

Do I need a separate seller account on Allegro Poland?

No. Operator One holds the Allegro Poland seller account under our MoR entity. You sign one master agreement with us; there is no separate marketplace contract for you to sign or manage.

Who handles VAT, compliance and returns on Allegro Poland?

We do. As Merchant of Record, Operator One is the party on the consumer invoice, so VAT collection, EPR, EPR registrations, DAC7 reporting (GPSR Responsible Person sits with O1 when we are your Importer of Record) and returns processing all sit with us, not with your brand.

How is Allegro Poland commission billed to me?

Marketplace commission, fulfilment fees, advertising spend and our service fee flow into a single consolidated monthly settlement statement. We share the full per-marketplace P&L for your catalogue on the discovery call.

Can I be exclusive on Allegro Poland?

Allegro Poland is one channel inside your O1 mix, and you keep the call on where else your brand sells. If you want Allegro Poland to be the only marketplace we run for you, we can scope the engagement that way; if you later want to add others, the same O1 entity covers them under the same master agreement.

How is buy-box or repricing handled on Allegro Poland?

Where Allegro Poland runs a buy-box-style mechanic, O1 Suite tracks the winner status and price gap per SKU and we repricer on rules you sign off on, not opaque automation. Where there's no buy-box, the pricing rules apply on top of the marketplace's own pricing logic instead.
