How selling works

Partner Program (3P, Zalando-curated) or wholesale (1P). 3P sellers either self-fulfil via the Connected Retail model (drop-ship from owned stock) or use Zalando Fulfillment Solutions (ZFS) — Zalando's FBA-equivalent, run from German warehouses. Compliance & fiscal picture

German VAT mandatory for ZFS (stock is held in DE). LUCID, WEEE-irrelevant, BattG-irrelevant for fashion but textile-EPR (Refashion FR, etc.) applies per country shipped to. GPSR Responsible Person applies. Zalando enforces a 100-day returns policy and free delivery at the listing level — non-compliance is grounds for de-listing.

What O1 actually does here

O1 operates Zalando from our DACH seller account when invited, with ZFS stock held in Germany under our VAT. Brand activation requires Zalando's onboarding committee approval — we can warm-introduce qualified brands but the gate is Zalando's. Listings, content and merchandising flow from the O1 Suite.

  • Free shipping is a partner obligation — your shipping cost is in your commission economics, not extra.
